Course Description
RMLE 2000 is a hands-on certification course that provides detailed instruction and tools for implementing Risk Evaluation and Control practices.  The course delineates the skills, knowledge and procedures professionals need to develop and manage a Risk Management program in support of Business Continuity efforts.

The course is organized by four primary modules, and will include detailed instruction in the areas of Governance and Compliance, Risk Models and Processes, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods, Risk Identification, Risk Handling and Management, and Monitoring and Reporting.

During each stage of the course, the student will be provided a “hands on” practical exercise to apply their risk management skills. During the practical application scenarios, students will be required to analyze key success factors and determine if duty of care and due diligence has been applied.  Students will perform a mock risk assessment in which they will be required to identify all-hazard threats, vulnerabilities, essential function impacts, and cost-effective risk controls/mitigation.

In addition to hands-on training, the course will provide each student with the DRI Risk Management Toolbox to assist with analysis and planning efforts when the student returns to their respective organization.
