Bowhead Technical and Professional Services Announces Steve Darner as President of Bowhead Innovative Products and Solutions

WASHINGTON, D.C., UIC Technical Services (UICTS) announced that Steve Darner has joined the company as President of Bowhead Innovative Products and Solutions (BIPS), a BTPS subsidiary.  As an IT product and service provider, BIPS combines its expert installation services with full life-cycle support to create a market ready business solution.  The company’s capabilities include systems integration, IT product acquisition for OEMs, value-added reselling options, and distribution services.  BIPS, a certified 8 (a), is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia right outside of Washington, D.C.  Currently, its primary customer is the Federal government.  
 
In his new role, Darner will lead procurement strategies, product line development, and business operations to solidify the company’s IT presence in the Federal market space.  He will report to UICTS CEO Geraldine “Gerrie” L’Heureux.   
 
"Steve brings with him a wealth of marketing and business development experience,” said L’Heureux. "His knowledge of the Federal marketplace along with his prior Alaskan Native corporate experience is an invaluable benefit to the growth and development of this business.  Steve is a welcome addition to the leadership team."
 
Prior to joining BITS, Darner has held leadership positions at MPRI, a division of L-3 Communications, TKC Communications, another Alaska Native Corporation, and Qwest Communications.  He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a concentration in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration.
