Our growing success over the years resulted in an organizational re-alignment in 2006 to better serve our customers. Bowhead has evolved into BTPS, a holding company with 6 subsidiary operational entities each with a different core business focus. While seamless to the customer, this internal diversification has allowed Bowhead to focus on specific niche customer requirements and retain an important small business focus, while maintaining the reach-back, infrastructure support, and resources of a much larger corporation. The six companies that make up our Bowhead family of companies are: Bowhead Support Services (BSS), Bowhead Information Technology Service (BITS), Bowhead Science and Technology (BST), Kiita Professional Services (KIPS), Bowhead Logistics Solutions (BLS) and Bowhead Innovative Products and Solutions (BIPS). This Bowhead family of companies forms one of the nation’s top-performing Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs), owned by the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation (UIC) of Barrow, Alaska. In 2006 and 2007, Bowhead's reputation for excellence continued to grow as evidenced by being named to the "Washington Technology" magazine's list of top 25 8(a) federal prime contractors.
